cornbelly's field trip

Our kindergarten, first, and second grade students had a fantastic fall adventure at Corn Belly’s Pumpkin Patch! The excitement began the moment the buses pulled in and everyone saw the bright pumpkins, corn fields, and colorful fall decorations.

One of the first favorites was the sparkling Cinderella carriage—perfect for imaginative play and fun photos. Students also loved soaring across the zip line and climbing into the giant chair for silly group pictures. The train ride gave everyone a chance to relax and take in the sights of the farm, while the pumpkin arch made the perfect backdrop for even more photos.

The giant slide was a huge hit, with kids racing each other down again and again. The hay ride offered a bouncy tour around the fields, and the corn pit gave students a chance to dig, scoop, and bury themselves in kernels. Many enjoyed climbing on tractors and pretending to be farmers, while others posed for goofy photos in the playful cutout boards around the park.

There were plenty of rides to enjoy, from spinning and bouncing attractions to smaller rides perfect for younger students. Visiting the farm animals was another highlight—students loved seeing goats, pigs, chickens, and other barnyard friends up close. And of course, the jump pads and bounce areas gave everyone a chance to get out some energy!

Throughout the day, students enjoyed fresh autumn air, teamwork with classmates, and safe play in wide open spaces. Laughter, curiosity, and smiles were everywhere.

Even though our first graders got rained out, they still squeezed in a little playtime and fun. And as a bonus, they enjoyed a picnic right in their classroom!

Thank you to the staff at Corn Belly’s, our teachers, and the amazing parent chaperones who helped make this trip possible. The visit was a perfect mix of learning and fun and created fall memories our students won’t soon forget!
