Our fourth graders had an electrifying field trip as they explored how the Springville Power Plant keeps our community running! The incredible power crew welcomed us with a fun and informative safety demonstration, showing just how important it is to be careful around electricity—and what could happen if we’re not!
Students were amazed as they toured the plant and saw the giant generators up close. They learned how these powerful machines create and distribute energy to our homes, schools, and businesses.
The hands-on lab activities were a huge hit! Students experimented with super-strength magnets, tested a static electricity globe, and even powered light bulbs by pedaling a bicycle! It was a shocking good time full of science, learning, and discovery.
A huge thank-you to Springville Power for hosting us and sparking our curiosity!
